By | September 8, 2015
The Friends of the Black River will host Abbie Church of the Mississippi Valley Conservancy at its Wednesday, Sept. 9 meeting. The meeting will start at 6:30 p.m. in the lower level meeting room of the Jackson County Bank.
Church’s presentation will inform landowners how to protect their land from frac sand mining or other development through permanent voluntary conservation agreements. The conservation agreements or conservation easement allows the land to remain in private ownership, and allows the landowner to receive income tax incentives in the form of an income tax deduction.
The meeting is free and open to the public.
