The Friends of the Black River will host National Weather Service meteorologist Jeff Boyne at its Wednesday, Oct. 12, 2022 meeting. The meeting will be held in The Hub at the Lunda Community Center begin at 6:30 p.m. Boyne will present a program about the disastrous Dec. 15-16 storm. The severe weather event brought record warmth, rapid snowmelt, dense fog, tornadoes and widespread strong, damaging winds across the Midwest. Boyne’s message will serve as a reminder about the importance of being prepared for severe weather. The program is free and the public is welcome to attend.
