A presentation about techniques for surviving in wilderness areas in the winter will be presented at the Friends of the Black River’s January meeting.
Derek Barkeim of Seekers Wild will offer winter survival tips Wednesday, Jan. 11, in the community room of the Jackson County Bank. The meeting will beginning at 6:30 p.m. and the public is encouraged to attend.
We are bringing Derek back after he gave a presentation last March about wilderness survival techniques. His knowledge of outdoor survival skills was well received.
