Friends of the Black River needs volunteers for Earth Day cleanups

The Friends of the Black River are looking for volunteers for Earth Day cleanups Saturday, April 22, 2023, for both Jackson and Clark counties. In Jackson County, volunteers are asked to meet at Castle Mound State Park at 8 a.m. to receive assignments. The park is located on State Highway 27 east of Black River Falls. Admission to the park will be waived for cleanup volunteers. The cleanup is set to run until 11:30 a.m. with a lunch provided to volunteers. The Clark County cleanup will be held from 8 a.m. to noon. Volunteers are asked to meet at Listeman Park is located at East 15th St., Neillsville. Lunch for volunteers will be provided at noon. For more information, email to ccfbrinfo@gmail.com.
