Wilderness survival tips will be topic of FBR March meeting

Anyone venturing into wild places would be wise to know skills for surviving mishaps. Those who enjoy the outdoors can learn those skills at the Friends of the Black River’s March meeting. The meeting will be held Wednesday, March 9, at 6:30 p.m. in the Jackson County Bank.

Derek Barkeim of Seekers Wild will present information and give hands-on instruction for surviving in wild places. Seekers Wild offers camps for youth and adults in survival skills as a way to improve the quality of life of individuals and community through positive outdoor experiences
