The Friends of the Black River is looking for volunteers to help with its annual river cleanup Saturday, Aug. 29. Volunteers are asked to meet at 8 a.m. at Al Young Park at the south end of First Street in Black River Falls to be assigned a section of the river. Volunteers may paddle the river or walk along the shore to collect trash. A free lunch will be served to volunteers at noon at Al Young Park.
