Program about new public park going in at former Rustic Mill site

New town of Albion public park at Rustic Mill site presentation

The project to transform the site of a former historic grist mill and well-known restaurant into a town park will be the topic of the next Friends of the Black River meeting.

Town of Albion Chair Leonard Olson and Supervisor Tom Tomter will give an update on the project at the Wednesday, Sept. 12 meeting. The meeting will begin at 6:30 p.m ., in the Jackson County Bank community room. The bank is located at 8 Main Street, Black River Falls. The program is free and open to the public.

The town is working to create a public park on the land located along State Hwy 54, south of Black River Falls, where the Rustic Mill once stood before it burned.
