Friends of the Black River to hold special meeting about recreation use on the flowage

The Friends of the Black River will host a meeting for stakeholders and other members of the public concerned about the recreational use of the Black River impoundment.

The meeting will be held Wednesday, May 11, in the Jackson County Bank Community Room beginning at 6:30 p.m.

A Department of Natural Resources representative has been invited to talk about the regulations of recreational motorized watercraft usage on small lakes around the state.

Those attending the meeting will be allowed to give input about issues regarding recreational use on the lake and recommendations for addressing those concerns.
