3rd Annual Black River Cleanup
Approximately 200 volunteers and participants...
- Donated nearly 500 hours of service
- Removed over 2000 pound of trash from the Black River and shoreline
- Enjoyed a great lunch served by local Girl Scouts
- Cheered on their favorite racing crayfish
- Participated in leaf printing, birdhouse building, fishing, kayaking, and more
- Got "hands-on" with frogs, toads, and salamanders as well as monarch butterflies
- Spent a beautiful day relaxing, learning, and meeting new friends
And most importantly...
Everyone helped to improve the quality of the Black River Basin and increase awareness of this special resource.
