Jackson County residents offered an opportunity to recycle unused electronics!

The public is invited to bring their old, worn-out electronics to Jackson Electric Cooperative’s Electronic Recycling Drive on Tuesday, October 20, from 8:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. This is a great way to help the environment by keeping these potentially toxic items out of the landfills, thereby protecting our waterways as well!

5R Processors Ltd. from Ladysmith, WI is partnering with Jackson Electric Cooperative for the disposal of unwanted, unused, and nonworking electronic equipment.

Click on this link to watch a short three minute homemade video of the gradual lowering of the water above the dam. Photographs show the process of the water receding, revealing rocks and sandbars no one has seen for years. Photos were taken from September 8 to October 12, 2009. It has been interesting watching the changes.
