Help needed for 2022 Earth Day Cleanup

Volunteers are needed for the Friends of the Black River Earth Day cleanup Saturday, April 30, 2022. Volunteers are asked to meet at Castle Mound State Park in the parking lot by the shelter at 8 a.m. to receive assignments. Admission to the park will be waived for cleanup volunteers. Lunch will be provided at the shelter starting at 11:30 a.m. The cleanup is set to run until noon.

Appliance roundup at county recycling center next to the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce also needs volunteers. The roundup runs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Volunteers can help for any portion of the day.
