The Friends of the Black River invite environmental advocates and other members of the public to a showing of “An Inconvenient Sequel: Truth to Power.” Released this past summer, the sequel to “An Inconvenient Truth,” presents a look at efforts underway to combat climate change.

As in the first film released 10 years ago, former U.S. Vice President Al Gore moderates the new documentary to discover the progress being made in energy production and use.

The movie will be shown Tuesday, Dec. 5, in the Jackson County Bank community room beginning at 6:30 p.m. Before the film showing, attendees can enjoy social time beginning at 6 p.m. Admission is $5 and pizza and other refreshments will be served.

RSVPs are requested and can be made by calling Steve Rake at 715-284-2087 or by emailing to info_fbr@yahoo.com.
