The Friends of the Black River will hold its annual wildflower hike Saturday, May 12, 2018. Each spring, the conservation organization sponsors a hike for those interested in learning to identify spring wildflowers blooming in the Black River watershed. The hike will start at 10 a.m. and there’s no charge to take part in the hike.
The trail is located on Pettibone Pass and is considered easy walking; the hike will last about an hour.
Those interested in carpooling to the trail head are asked to meet at 9:30 a.m. at the Black River Area Chamber of Commerce parking lot. The parking lot is located at 120 N. Water Street, Black River Falls.
