Proposal: Kayak Demo Opportunity

Kayak Demo Opportunity

Objective: Utilize the valuable Lunda Park resources & promote activities during the afternoon hours of Festival in the Park. Hopefully some of the participants would stay around and buy food, etc. from the Festival.

Where:  Lunda Park Pond- Part of Festival in the Park, 7/4/09
Time: 12:30 – 2:30
Cost:  $2 charge (split 50/50 between FBR & Lunda Park)

All necessary gear would be provided, including kayaks & life jackets
FBR reps will be on hand to supervise & provided limited instruction

Participants would have the opportunity to learn to kayak in a safe beginners setting & would have the opportunity to paddle around the pond.

Kids & adults welcome, beginner or intermediate
Not a contest; just a fun chance for people to get in a kayak & paddle around
