The Friends of the Black River is looking for volunteers to help with its annual river cleanup Saturday, Aug. 27. The cleanup effort will begin at 8 a.m. A complimentary lunch will be served to volunteers at 12:30 p.m. at Al Young Park. Those volunteering may indicate the section of river between Hatfield and North Bend they would like to patrol or they can contact organizers to be assigned a section.
