This has been a popular and successful event for families in the past, resulting in removal of tons of trash from the Black River State Forest and other areas in the watershed.

Participants will meet at 8:30 AM at the Castle Mound State Park shelter for site assignments, maps and instructions. Work clothes, boots and gloves are recommended. Friends of the Black River will provide rubber gloves and trash bags and safety vests.

Interested participants should call John Elliott at 715-284-1507 or 715-299-0006,  contact us, or e-mail info_fbr@yahoo.com. After the morning’s work volunteers will meet at Castle Mound State Park for a 12:30 PM free lunch provided by the Black River State Forest personnel. Join your neighbors in this fun worthwhile celebration of Earth Day, while helping keep our outdoor areas clean and beautiful for all.
